Jane Lynch not bothered by Sue's bullying ways

    Mario Anzuoni / Reuters

Jane Lynch's best supporting actress win for her character Sue Sylvester in "Glee" was one that, for the most part, was well received. Lynch's performance of the acerbic cheerleading coach carries every scene she's in, and the character is unlike any other on television. However, Sue Sylvester is at the end of the day, a massive bully. During a time when bullying has become an epidemic, does this bother Lynch in any way?

"I think the reasons that Sue became a bully are explained on the show," she said at the Fox after-party, with her Golden Globe not far from sight. "It's a product of the relationship she had with her mother, which was masterfully played by Carol Burnett."

On working with Burnett, Lynch said "she was an absolute dream," and insisted Sue's bullying was nothing to be worried about in the real world.

GQ's sexy 'Glee' shoot ... now with video!

Surely you remember the recent outcry after "Glee" stars Cory Monteith, Dianna Agron and Lea Michele sexed things up with a scantily clad photo spread for the November issue of GQ magazine.

The Parents Television Council said the photos "bordered on pedophilia" and talking heads wondered if kids should even be watching "Glee." Perhaps those folks will want to skip this behind-the-scenes video of the GQ shoot.

"Not a bad Saturday," Monteith says at the end.

'Glee' star apologizes for racy magazine shoot

"Glee" star Dianna Agron, who is featured alongside castmates Corey Monteith and Lea Michele on the cover of the new GQ, is apologizing for the shoot ... sort of.

Agron wrote in her personal blog, "in perpetuating the type of images that evoke these kind of emotions, I am sorry. If you are hurt or these photos make you uncomfortable, it was never our intention." Agron then makes a point that many others made at the height of Wednesday's controversy and suggests that children maybe shouldn't be reading GQ in the first place. "And if your eight-year-old has a copy of our GQ cover in hand, again I am sorry. But I would have to ask, how on earth did it get there?"

On Wednesday, the Parents Television Council claimed that the GQ cover "bordered on pedophilia." The magazine's editor, Jim Nelson, fired back saying, "The Parents Television Council must not be watching much TV these days and should learn to divide reality from fantasy. As often happens in Hollywood, these 'kids' are in their twenties. Cory Monteith's almost 30! I think they're old enough to do what they want."

Parents' group says 'Glee' photos 'border on pedophilia'

    Terry Richardson for GQ

The Parents Television Council has released a statement criticizing the producers of "Glee" for allowing its stars Cory Monteith, 28, and Dianna Agron and Lea Michele, both 24, to participate in a "hyper-sexualized" photo shoot in the November issue of GQ.

According to the statement from the PTC, "it is disturbing that GQ, which is explicitly written for adult men, is sexualizing the actresses who play high school-aged characters on 'Glee' in this way. It borders on pedophilia. Sadly, this is just the latest example of the overt sexualization of young girls in entertainment," said PTC's President Tim Winter.

Winter went on to say that parents need to be "on guard," when it comes to the show. "Unfortunately, it seems 'Glee' is only masquerading as (a) family show and is far from appropriate for young viewers," Winter said.

Requests for comment from "Glee" creator Ryan Murphy or from GQ have not been answered.

Update: Jim Nelson, editor-in-chief of GQ writes, "The Parents Television Council must not be watching much TV these days and should learn to divide reality from fantasy. As often happens in Hollywood, these 'kids' are in their twenties. Cory Monteith's almost 30! I think they're old enough to do what they want."

Are guest stars going to ruin 'Glee'?

    Mario Anzuoni/Reuters file

Gwyneth Paltrow is coming to "Glee" as the latest in a line of celebrity guest stars.

Is it time to close the door on 'Glee' guest stars?

"Glee" creator Ryan Murphy has confirmed that Gwyneth Paltrow would be the next in a series of guest stars on the show. "She is going to be playing a substitute teacher who Matt Morrison's character falls for, he told Us Magazine. "She will be doing 3 or 4 solos."

Is anyone else saying, "Enough with the guest stars already?"

Some of the show's cameos have enhanced the plot. Jonathan Groff was technically a guest star, and a necessary character as the lead singer of rival group Vocal Adrenaline. When "Wicked" alum Idina Menzel took on the role of Rachel Berry's biological mom Shelby Corcoran, Menzel's appearance on the show was well-justified, too. But Neil Patrick Harris, Molly Shannon, Josh Groban, Britney Spears, and now Paltrow? Just because they can pull off a cameo doesn't mean they should. The cast in and of itself is incredibly talented, and after all, is't the original cast what made the audience love "Glee" in the first place?

To continue to open the door to any celebrity with a set of pipes would be to tread dangerously near shark-jumping territory. What do you think? Cast your vote, above.
