Red-carpet review: Does Reese top them all?

    Getty Images (3), EPA

    By Kurt Schlosser

The A-list was out in force on Sunday night for the Los Angeles County Museum of Art's Art and Film Gala honoring Clint Eastwood and John Baldessari. We've assembled a sample lineup of some of the actresses in attendance. They are, from left, Olivia Wilde, Kate Hudson, Jennifer Garner and Reese Witherspoon.

We're always a little partial to Witherspoon and the classic simplicity of her style. Us Weekly also took special notice of her topknot hairdo. But props to Garner -- who is expecting her third child -- for rocking the red carpet, too.

Do you have a favorite in this bunch? Let's hear your fashion critique.

Reese Witherspoon talks about divorce, finding love again

    Marie Claire

    By Courtney Hazlett

Five years after Reese Witherspoon's divorce from Ryan Phillippe, the actress has remarried (to agent Jim Toth), and admits that her post-divorce years were difficult. "I was hard on myself when I got divorced. And until I got remarried, I don't think I realized how stressed I was," she says in the new issue of Marie Claire. "I feel so much relief. I don't think I recognized how anxious I was about being a single parent. It was really, really stressful. It's not easy on anybody."

Of her marriage to Toth, Witherspoon says she's lucky to have found someone who is so great, especially with her kids. "You know, somebody close to me once said, 'Oh, no man will ever accept your children.' And I just thought it was the most horrifying thing someone has ever said to me in my entire life," she says. "I was determined to find somebody who would make that not true. And I got lucky. I did. I got very lucky, and he's wonderful. And so wonderful with the children. I'm very blessed."

You can read the entire interview in Marie Claire right here.

Reese Witherspoon in donkey dispute with neighbors

Jason Merritt / Getty Images file

Reese Witherspoon’s Ojai, Calif., ranch was a serene, romantic venue when she and husband Jim Toth wed there in April. But now, things have apparently changed.

The neighbors are reportedly up in arms, as they think her farm’s donkeys are a real pain in the you-know-what. The core issue, according to Us Weekly, is that the animals — named Honky and Tonk — hee and haw at such a high volume “they’re driving us crazy,” says a source who spoke with the magazine. The local added, “It’s so bad that a few residents sent [Reese] a letter.”

Still, the source adds they aren’t looking for a fight with Witherspoon. “She’s beloved here. I’m not sure she even knows what’s going on.”

Scooplets: Lindsay's Good Friday plea, makeup-free Tyra, more

    • Maybe life at Brown University wasn’t so idyllic for Emma Watson. The “Harry Potter” star was reportedly heckled by some students when she answered questions in class. According to the Daily News, “Three points for Gryffindor!” was a popular refrain.

    Getty Images file

Lindsay Lohan is scheduled to be back in court on April 22.

    • Is Good Friday a valid reason to postpone a court date? No, not even Lindsay Lohan can get away with that. Radar reports she invoked the holiday to get her Friday hearing postponed. It will go on as scheduled.

    • Recognize this supermodel? It's Tyra Banks, without makeup.

    • There's one place in the world where Justin Bieber doesn't draw a lot of fans: Israel. The Hollywood Reporter writes that his April 14 concert in Tel Aviv drew somewhere between 17,000 and 24,000 fans. By contrast, Madonna's 2009 show at the same venue pulled in 56,000.

    • As if we needed another reason to like Reese Witherspoon: at her wedding, she kicked off her Jimmy Choo sandals in favor of cowboy boots.

    • The entertainment world is well represented in the annual Time 100 issue. Chris Colfer of “Glee,” Colin Firth, Blake Lively and Bruno Mars are among the celebs who made the cut. More in the video below:

Witherspoon not a fan of love scenes with Pattinson

David James / 20th Century Fox

While many women would cut off a limb for the chance to do a love scene with Robert Pattinson, Reese Witherspoon is not one of them. At least under certain circumstances.

"Rob possibly had the most hideous horrible cold of any co-star I’ve ever had to do a love scene with ever in my entire life,” Witherspoon told In Touch of her "Water for Elephants" co-star. “He was literally snorting and snotting through every second of it -- and it was not appealing. I’m talking green, infectious, disgusting -- I’m not kidding!”

Witherspoon's hopes were a little higher going into the experience. “I’m going to say it’s a little bit of a downer. I was a little disappointed. It wasn’t sexy,” she said.

Reese Witherspoon: 'I mourn the loss of my privacy'

    Peter Lindbergh / VOGUE

By all accounts, life is good for Reese Witherspoon. Her personal life is good, having just married Jim Toth; her professional life is on par, too, as she stars in "Water For Elephants" opposite Robert Pattinson. What Witherspoon does long for is some semblance of privacy, which has been all but lost for the better part of a decade.

"I mean, I feel like an ingrate for even thinking anything isn’t good. I’m very, very, very lucky," Witherspoon told Vogue. "But ... umm ... probably that I parted with my privacy a long time ago. We went different ways. And sometimes I mourn it. Sometimes I will sit in the car and cry. Because I can’t get out. That’s the only thing: I mourn the loss of my privacy."

    Reese Witherspoon wedding date set?

    Mario Anzuoni / Reuters file

Reese Witherspoon and her fiance Jim Toth aren't opting for an extended engagement. The couple has reportedly set a wedding date for Saturday, March 26.

The venue: Witherspoon's Ojai Valley home, according to Radar Online. The wedding will be on the small side, with about 100 guests attending, and event planner Yifat Oren (who planned the weddings of Charlie Sheen and Brooke Mueller, Mariska Hargitay and Peter Hermann) is said to be onboard to help with the details.

What will Witherspoon wear? That's still not official, but in February, the actress was spotted shopping at Monique Lhuillier's boutique in L.A.

Reese Witherspoon checks out wedding dresses

    AP file

No date has been announced for a wedding between Reese Witherspoon and Jim Toth.

Reese Witherspoon might be getting ready to swap "I do's" soon with her fiance Jim Toth. The actress was spotted checking out wedding dresses at Monique Lhuillier's Melrose Avenue boutique in Los Angeles on Sunday, Us reports. Lhuillier has a substantial celebrity following: Carrie Underwood and Odette Yustman recently wore her gowns for their weddings, and Catherine Zeta Jones' gorgeous Golden Globes gown was also made by the designer.

Witherspoon and Toth started dating in January 2010, the two became engaged in December. No date for the wedding has been announced.

The one where you fall for Robert Pattinson

Don't hate, dear "Twilight" fans: I never really got the whole Robert Pattinson thing.

But! I do get it now, thanks to this trailer for "Water for Elephants," which also stars Reese Witherspoon, Christoph Waltz, Hal Holbrook and Paul Schneider (who happens to be very underrated, in my opinion).

The film is in theaters April 15. Until then, watch the below trailer repeatedly. And if you feel so moved, leave your thoughts in the comments.

Ummmmm....not impressed. Looks like it may be a good movie, but really I don't think Pattinson can act his way out of a wet paper bag. This trailer does nothing to prove that he's capable of holding his own in a movie with so many great actors--he barely talks in the clip.
